Well, I made it back from Geowoodstock 4 in one peice. I was only able to go to the event on Saturday and do some caches in the park that the event was held. I took my dad, which lives near by, to show him all the fun of geocaching. He had a blast as well as me too! We did a speed cache event hosted my one of the local geocachers that was a lot of fun....well the chiggers and the cuts from thorns was not fun! Oh well, that's part of the fun of geocaching! We did good, except for one cache was kicking our butts and then another cacher found it and we quickly headed back to the finish line. I did not win, but had a great time.
There were a lot of cachers there at the event, I would say 800 at least. I will be intrested to know the final count when it is all said and done. I picked up some new coins at the event as well as some new travel bugs. I droped some of my travel bugs there as well as my friend Pignewton's "parasitic travel bug", which was a big hit at the event. Everyone that saw it thought it was a great idea. Good luck in it's travels. A local Texas geocacher is going to take it to Africa, along with some of the others I took up there with me. I'll post some pics tomorrow if I get a chance. I am tired and must rest!

Geocaching on the BMW!
I finaly got around to mounting my GPS on my motorcycle the other day. NidoMio, The Clampetts, and I went on a 100 mile ride to geocache as well as to enjoy the other activity I like to do...ride my motorcycle. It was a great day for geocaching and riding! The temp was in the 50's and after a 20 or so mile ride, NidoMio was ready for some breakfast and we headed to the old country store in Oark. We drank some soda, coffee, and talked about stuff. As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed a geocache right here at the store! We looked around outside and I went to the PDA for a clue. So it's inside the store! After a little looking the geocache was found and it was off to find some more geocaches.
We ended up finding about 10 geocaches that day. I will upload some images soon.

My 400th find!
Well, I don't cache as much as I would like to, but I hit the 400th cache over the weekend. This is cool! I hope to hit 500 by summers end if I get to do enough caching. The Geo-Olympics is over and I got an email from Sonny and Sandy of the PodCacher Podcast the other day. They want to do an interview about the games. That is soooo coool! I love their show and look forward to the fun each week. It is nice that I can contribute to the fun sport and past-time that I enjoy so much.
If you are not familiar with their show, be sure to check out my link section in this blog. Geocaching is one of those fun activities that it's so fun to talk about your finds and adventures with other geocachers. That's why I have the blog, to share in the fun. I need to see how I can raise some money to send to them to help support their show. Thanks again guys for all the hard work!

You know you cache too much....
I am at Wal-Mart the other day doing some shopping and of course getting some geocaching items and other stuff. I shop around and it is time to go check out. I place my items on the moving belt and instead of using my debit card today I decide to write a check. The checker tells me the amount and I proceed to write the date, and when I get to the "pay to the order of" I write BMWrider2! I guess I have been caching too much! I have not only done that, but have done it with about everyting that requires me place a date and then something else!
Oh well! Got to go caching Sunday with NidoMio and we hit about 30 caches and a lot of them were just released a few days ago, so that was good. Had one that was a real hard one, but we just did not look in the right place. Picked up some cool ideas and I will share them with you as soon as I get one made. The ticks are out in full force this year, so spray yourself good before going into the woods caching.
